Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dental treatments may include anything that has the direct effect of improving the appearance of one or more teeth to a patient’s desired outcome.

You can enhance your smile at any age. Cosmetic dentistry offers a wide range of procedures to improve the aesthetics and function of your teeth. Our professional care and treatments can fix chips, cracks, stains and spacing issues through latest technologies.

Some of the cosmetic treatments we offer are:

Tooth Coloured/Composite Fillings

Composite restorations are made up of synthetic resins. They are used to restore cracked, fractured, decayed teeth and provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small- to mid-size fillings, that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing. They can be used on either front or back teeth, usually done in a single visit.

Inlays/Onlays

Teeth with small or moderate cavities can be restored with composite resin, but composite is not ideal and durable enough to restore large cavities. If you have a large cavity, then we will recommend an inlay or onlay.

What is an inlay or Onlay?
An inlay restoration is when the cavity is confined to the centre of the tooth. An onlay restoration is similar to an inlay restoration except the extent of the damage requires inclusion of one or more cusps on the tooth. The inlays and onlays are made up of porcelain (tooth coloured) or gold, both are equally durable.

One Visit Crowns

OVC is an overlay which restores cracked and damaged tooth. It is more conservative, requires less reduction of your tooth. As the name suggests the treatment requires single visit.

Veneers

Veneers are very thin shells that are bonded to the front part of teeth. They are often made of porcelain or composite resin. Porcelain veneers are stronger than composite resin veneers and do not change colour or stain. Generally, porcelain veneers take at least 2 dental visits to apply and composite resin veneers can be done in 1 visit. Porcelain veneers generally last longer than composite resin veneers. They can be used instead of a crown if your tooth is strong and healthy. Veneers are excellent for treating chipped or discoloured teeth and give a magnificent lift to your smile.

Crowns & Bridges

A dental crown is custom-made to fit over a damaged or broken natural tooth. It restores the function of the tooth and provides strength and support. Crowns are recommended if your teeth are severely decayed, weakened by root canal treatment, fractured, cracked or broken. Dental bridges replace missing teeth.

Crowns and bridges are usually made of porcelain because of its natural appearance and durability.

Teeth+Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a bleaching process that lightens stains in the enamel and dentine of your teeth, to give a brighter tooth colour.

Teeth whitening can be done at home (using a customised tray system), or in the dental office.

Tooth Jewels

These teeny tiny temporary accessories attach to your front teeth to make them a little, or a lot, extra. Essentially, they’re tiny jewels glued to front teeth and function as an accent nail for your grin. Tooth Jewels are only a few millimetres wide, but they can really enhance a megawatt smile.
