Vera Zdarsky

Dentist

Vera graduated in 1982 from the Charles University of Prague as Medical Doctor and completed masters in general Dentistry in 1985. Worked in Prague until moving to New Zealand in 1990. Started to work for Geddes Dental Group after completing NZ registration exams, doing all aspects of dentistry, and teaching clinical dental technicians how to make dentures. Started working as a principal dentist at Guardian Dental in 2005. She enjoys attending dental courses to keep up with improvements and technology in dentistry. She values not only western but also alternative approaches to well-being and healing. She devotes her time to yoga, meditation, and martial arts. She is compassionate in all that she does and loves her work and all people.


Roger Ngan

Dentist

Born and raised in Lower Hutt, Roger graduated from Otago University in 1981.

After working in Auckland he practiced in Onehunga for 20 years before leaving and joining Guardian Dental in 2007. Oral health and appearance are important to him and with the help of our friendly dental team, he aims to provide quality dentistry with sound advice in a professional, relaxed and caring environment. Dentistry can be challenging and to create a balance, Roger’s outside interests include tennis. He follows most sports especially rugby and cricket and enjoys music too.

Loau Luteru

Dentist

Loau was born and raised in Samoa. He graduated with a DDS from Fiji school of Medicine in 1978. He was working as a dentist for Samoa National Hospital for 10 years. In 1988, he migrated with his family to New Zealand. He went to Otago University in 1990 and graduated his BDS in 1993. He graduated his Post Graduate Diploma of Community Dentistry (Otago) in 2010. Loau was also a former member of the New Zealand Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal. He has been in the Dentistry field for 43 years. He likes to help Pacific people patients with the Oral Health especially patients with language barrier. He loves playing pool, fishing, and rugby.


Rakesh Singla

Dentist

Dr. Rakesh Singla started his career as a general dentist in India in year 2000. After clearing the Australian Dental Council exam in 2016, he migrated to New Zealand with his family. He got his registration in 2017 and have been practising in New Zealand since then. He is very passionate about dentistry and loves to serve people with his dental skills. He believes that patient’s security and comfort during the dental visit is one of the prime aspects in dentistry. He enjoys spending time with his family for the rest of his day.

Amarpreet Kaur

Practice Manager

Amarpreet was born and raised in India. She graduated from India in dentistry and has done a health services management course from New Zealand to increase her understanding and expertise in dental practice management. She has more than 3 years of experience in dental assisting in New Zealand. She takes care of the patients, maintaining a positive team environment, and keeps the record up to date. Outside of the clinic, Amarpreet loves to spend time with her family. She really loves being a part of the Guardian dental team.


Delia Jin

Practice Coordinator

Delia grew up in China, but originally from Korea. She came to New Zealand in 2011 and studied Healthcare. Now, she has 7 years of experience in dentistry. As a practice coordinator, she looks after the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. In her spare time, she loves reading and hiking.

Fiapoto Luteru

Dental Assistant

Poto was born and raised in Samoa. She migrated with her family to New Zealand in 1988. She loves working closely and alongside with people of the community and help to demonstrate with their oral health. Poto has more than 10 years’ experience in dental assisting in New Zealand. She used her skill and experience to help connecting to Pacifica people patients. Apart from work, she loves going to church, watching movies and be with her family.

Dental Assistant

Jemima migrated to New Zealand from Fiji in 2008, she had a bilingual and bicultural upbringing, so she is sensitive to cultural differences. Jemima had experience in working in Hospitality and women’s refuge also new to Dental Assisting.

Jemima believes she has found her purpose and passion working in this field especially passionate about helping people. She enjoys working alongside wholesome team who incorporate holistic approach and humour towards patient. Jemima understands that dentistry is an ever-evolving profession an strives to continuously advance her knowledge and skills to provide holistic patient centred-care. In spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Also, spontaneous outdoor adventures.

Rajnay Prakash

Dental Technician

Rajnay is originally from Fiji and migrated to New Zealand in 2009. He has more than 11 years of experience as Dental Technician in New Zealand. He is very passionate about his job and providing fully satisfied service to our denture patients. Rajnay is a good team player and makes good coordination with dentists and other staff. He loves to watch movies, listening to music and playing soccer.
